Finance

The Finance Department is committed to providing timely, accurate, and concise financial information, and reports. The department plays a key role in every financial transaction ranging from processing payroll checks to managing investments.

Collections

Collects amounts due to the City of Fayetteville including abatement/assessment payments, fire inspection fees, insurance payments, noise citations, peddler and seasonal merchant permits, and other miscellaneous fees.

Property Assessment

Providing paving assessments, lot cleaning assessments and demolition assessments due on a particular property.

Property Tax Relief

North Carolina state law allows property tax relief for low-income seniors and disabled homeowners, as well as disabled veterans or their unmarried surviving spouse.

Purchasing

Responsible for acquiring all materials, supplies, services, and equipment for the city. Our goal is to obtain quality resources at the best possible cost. Our purchasing processes adhere to local, state, and federal policies to ensure efficient use of taxpayer dollars.

Annual Comprehensive Financial Reports (ACFR)

Consists of management's representations concerning the finances of the City. The City continues to be recognized by the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) with the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting.
