Traffic Fatality

(Fayetteville, NC) – On Sunday, November 23, 2025 at approximately 3:03 am, officers with the Fayetteville Police Department responded to a vehicle crash at the intersection of Person Street and Old Wilmington Road.

The preliminary investigation has revealed a 2011 Honda motorcycle, operated by Jackson Corum (W/M, 21 years of age) of Spring Lake, North Carolina, was traveling east on Person Street when he struck the traffic circle at the intersection of Old Wilmington Road. Corum was transported to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center where he succumbed to injuries sustained during the crash.

A passenger was on Corum’s motorcycle at the time of the crash and has been identified as Jasmine Islam (A/F, 20 years of age), of Fayetteville, North Carolina. Islam sustained minor injuries as a result of the crash.

The Fayetteville Police Department’s Traffic Unit continues to actively investigate this crash.
