Yard Sale Permit Process

Yard Sale Permit process reactivated

Post Date:06/23/2020 8:47 AM

(Fayetteville, N.C.) – The City of Fayetteville yard sale permit process is active after a period of suspension due to the Coronavirus. The reactivation follows the Governor’s Executive Order 141 which eases restrictions on travel, business operations and mass gatherings.

Permit applications are being accepted online at https://fayworx.com/fayworxportal/. City government code requires a permit for a yard sale. A residence is limited to 3 yard sale permits per year. This rule prevents a home from operating as a commercial business.

The City of Fayetteville’s Development Services Department created a list of guidelines for yard sale operations during the COVID-19 pandemic. Those recommendations can be viewed at https://fayettevillenc.gov/government/city-departments/development-services/permitting-inspections/yard-sale-health-safety-tips and are also attached to this message. A set of guidelines are also provided with each permit.

People with questions about code enforcements and inspections can call (910) 433-1329.
