Update to Pedestrian Struck

 

(Fayetteville, NC) – Officers with the Fayetteville Police Department’s Traffic Unit have identified the subjects involved in the traffic crash pedestrian struck that occurred on May 14th along Ireland Drive.

 

The driver of the 1999 Toyota has been identified as Dwayne Fisher (B/M) of the 6000 block of Carloway Drive.

 

The pedestrian has been identified as Jessica Cooper (B/F) of Rochester, NY. Cooper was walking in the roadway at the time she was struck.

 

Jessica Cooper is now listed in stable condition.

Pedestrian Struck

 

           

(Fayetteville, NC) – On May 14, 2020, at 9:48 pm, officers with the Fayetteville Police Department were dispatched to the 1600 block of Ireland Drive in reference to a pedestrian being struck.

 

The preliminary investigation revealed a female had been struck in the roadway and was transported to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center with life-threatening injuries. She is currently listed in critical condition.

 

Currently, Ireland Drive between Coventry Road and Lenoir Street is shut down while officers investigate the scene.

 

The identity of the female is currently being withheld. Additional information will be released as it becomes available.
