County, City of Fayetteville to Host Fall Safety Day Nov. 8

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — City of Fayetteville, in partnership with Cumberland County Government, Cumberland County Emergency Services, and other public safety agencies, invites the community to attend Fall Safety Day on Saturday, Nov. 8, 2025, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Crown Coliseum West Parking Lot at 1960 Coliseum Drive.

FFD encourages residents to not mix household chemicals

The Fayetteville Fire Department (FFD) responded to a preventable hazardous materials incident and warns residents that mixing or misusing household chemicals can be extremely dangerous. Residents, especially youth, are strongly discouraged from attempting these types of activities with any type of chemical agents.

FFD welcomes Crisis Response Dog to the team

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. - The Fayetteville Fire Department is excited to welcome a new member to the team, GRIFFITH. Through the paws4people Foundation, GRIFFITH is a Crisis Response Dog trained to perform tasks to mitigate stress and anxiety in emergency situations both at the place of work or at the scene of the emergency.

City launches campaign to encourage residents stay storm ready

To help residents stay prepared, the city of Fayetteville’s Office of Emergency Management (OEM) has launched Ready Fay, a preparedness campaign that encourages residents to be storm ready and provides best practices for preparing for and responding to natural disasters.
