Street crews have been working continuously along with NCDOT, assessing and treating the roadways throughout the City. It is important to note that shaded and elevated areas, including bridges and culverts, could still present extremely slippery conditions and residents need to take extra precautions when driving.

Residents are encouraged to stay off the roads, if possible, and if not, be extra cautious while driving. Driving at posted speeds could be extremely dangerous when ice is on the road.

Residents are encouraged to call 911 for any emergencies, including downed trees or powerlines on a road.
