Holiday closures & schedules for City services

City of Fayetteville Government offices will be closed Dec. 25 – Dec. 26 and Jan. 1, 2026 to observe the Christmas and New Year Holidays. Please see the following holiday schedules for the Police Department, Solid Waste Division, Fayetteville Regional Airport, Fayetteville Area System of Transit and Fayetteville-Cumberland Parks and Recreation.

Temporary road closure around Market House work scheduled

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. – The Market House roundabout in Downtown Fayetteville will be temporarily closed Dec. 10 from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. for the installation of the four clocks on top of the historic structure.

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. - Last weekend, Fayetteville-Cumberland Youth Council proudly hosted the 2025 State Youth Council Mini Grant Conference at the Way 2 Real Community Center, located at 2400 Murchison Road. The youth council groups met on Nov. 14–16.

Loose leaf collection begins Nov. 24

Loose leaf seasonal pickup service begins on Nov. 24. Team members with the Fayetteville-Cumberland Parks and Recreation department will use specialized equipment to collect residential loose leaves by zip code.
