Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR)

The Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR) consists of management’s representations concerning the finances of the City. Consequently, management assumes full responsibility for the completeness and reliability of the information contained in this report.

The CAFR is broken down into 3 major sections as follows:

  • Introductory Section
  • Financial Section
  • Statistical Section

The annual audited financial statements reporting the City’s financial position and results of operations can be found in the Financial Section. Financial highlights and an overview of the financial statements can also be found in the Financial Section titled “Management’s Discussion and Analysis”. Following the statistical section is the independent auditor’s report on internal control and compliance on each major federal and state program in accordance with Uniform Guidance and the State Single Audit Implementation Act.

Also included in the CAFR are schedules and other information relating to long-term obligations as well as debt service requirements.

The City’s Finance Department continues to be recognized by the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) with the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting.
