Traffic Fatality- Pedestrian Struck

 

(Fayetteville, NC) – On October 11, 2025, at approximately 8:11 p.m., officers with the Fayetteville Police Department were dispatched to the 600 block of Country Club Drive in reference to a pedestrian being struck. Medical personnel arrived on the scene, and the pedestrian was pronounced deceased. The preliminary investigation revealed that the pedestrian stepped out into oncoming traffic and was struck by a passing motorist. The driver of the vehicle remained on the scene until police arrived.

 

The name of the victim is being withheld until the next of kin notification can be made.

 

Country Club Drive is currently closed between the area of Clearwater Drive and Rose Hill Road in both directions. Drivers are encouraged to find an alternate route of travel until further notice.
