Residents can use the City of Fayetteville’s self-reporting tool to report non-emergency impacts from a storm, disaster or other significant incident within the city. You can report property damage, flooding, debris, road obstructions, utility hazards, impacts to City services, and other incident-related concerns. For emergencies or immediate danger, call 911.
The City of Fayetteville and the Fayetteville Metropolitan Housing Authority (FMHA) are proud to announce that the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) awarded the City and FMHA $25,115,578 through the FY2025 Choice Neighborhoods Implementation (CNI) Grant program to transform the Murchison Townhouses public housing community into the new mixed-income Murchison Choice Neighborhood.
The award will fund the next phase of the Murchison Choice Transformation Plan, a comprehensive strategy shaped with residents and partners to carry forward the community’s vision for revitalization of one of Fayetteville's most historic neighborhoods through new housing, infrastructure and community investment. The Transformation Plan(PDF, 104MB) is a community-led plan that was designed with the help of the residents of the Murchison Road Corridor. Through community surveys with partner agencies, we were able to compile a snapshot of the residents, their wants and desires for their community, and combine that with our vision to create a plan for revitalization of Murchison Road. Three key elements of the Murchison Choice Neighborhood Transformation Plan are People, Neighborhood, and Housing. Consideration of these elements not only shaped the process of creating the plan, but also its implementation.
