Purpose
The purpose of this article is to protect juveniles from victimization and exposure to criminal activity by establishing a curfew for juveniles 16 years of age and under. This article is intended to reinforce and promote the role of the parent in raising and guiding children and promote the health, safety, and welfare of both juveniles and adults by creating an environment offering better protection and security for all concerned.
Effective Date
The Effective Date of this ordinance shall be on May 27, 2025. Unless otherwise repealed by the City Council, this Ordinance will expire on May 27, 2026.
It is the intention of the City Council, and it is hereby ordained that the provisions of this ordinance shall become and be made part of the Code of Ordinances, City of Fayetteville, North Carolina, and the sections of this ordinance may be renumbered to accomplish such intention.
