Housing Opportunities

The City of Fayetteville is committed to expanding affordable housing opportunities through strategic partnerships and community investment. By working alongside private for-profit and nonprofit developers, the City supports housing initiatives that align with City Council’s vision for economic growth, neighborhood revitalization, and increased housing accessibility for residents of varying income levels.

While local governments are prohibited from investing directly in private developments for private benefit, the City may support affordable housing efforts through a variety of tools, incentives, and partnerships that promote long-term community stability and growth. These efforts may include affordable single-family housing development, rental housing initiatives, Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) developments, and other projects that increase the availability of safe, quality, and attainable housing throughout Fayetteville.
