Boards and Commissions

The Fayetteville City Council has established 26 boards and commissions, 23 of them are open to applications from Fayetteville residents. The volunteers who are appointed to the boards and commissions serve as the link that connects the public to its governing body and serve as advisors who make recommendations that help shape the policies and programs of Fayetteville.

Members are generally unpaid volunteers who devote many hours of their personal time to these community activities. Anyone living in Fayetteville may serve on these boards and commissions. Some boards may require appointees to have a special license or meet certain professional requirements.
