The City of Fayetteville is located within Cumberland County School System, which provide the public school services for students K-12. There are three institutions for higher learning located in Fayetteville, Fayetteville State University and Methodist University and Fayetteville Technical Community College, as well as satellite campus for Shaw University. There are many other educational organizations.

Fayetteville has the best healthcare systems in the state for its citizens and also for veterans. The Cape Fear Valley Medical Center provides outstanding care for our citizens as well as the Veterans Administration Medical Center serves the many veterans in the regional area.
