A.J. can be charged with Possession of a Handgun by a Minor if he is under 18 (Class 1 misdemeanor punishable by 1 – 120 days in jail), Carrying Concealed Weapon (Class 2 misdemeanor punishable by 1 – 60 days in jail), Assault By Pointing a Gun (Class A1 misdemeanor punishable by 1 – 150 days in jail), Assault With a Deadly Weapon (Class A1 misdemeanor punishable by 1 – 150 days in jail) and First Degree Kidnapping (Class C felony punishable by 231 months in prison ).
School

A student may be suspended or expelled for engaging in unlawful activity on or off school grounds.

Rosie had several bruises from being hit and pushed by A.J., but there are no long term physical consequences. She will, however, have emotional consequences to deal with.
