Community input needed for community development annual plan
Published on February 10, 2026
FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. - Starting Feb. 11, the Fayetteville Economic and Community Development (ECD) Department will be hosting four public meetings for residents to provide feedback on the proposed 2026-2027 Annual Action Plan.
Residents are encouraged to participate and provide their input on how the department prioritizes the funding from the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and Emergency Solutions Grants (ESG). This funding is used to design and implement strategies tailored to the City’s needs and priorities.
The four public meetings will be held on the following dates and locations:
- Feb. 11 at 6 p.m. - Massey Hill Recreation Center, 1612 Camden Road
- Feb. 19 at 6 p.m. - Smith Recreation Center, 1520 Slater Avenue
- Feb. 25 at 6:30 p.m. - Westover Recreation Center, 267 Bonanza Drive
- March 5 at 7 p.m. - E.E. Miller Recreation Center, 1347 Rim Road
“The priorities in our annual action plan are shaped by our community,” ECD Director Chris Cauley stated. “We listen closely to residents and nonprofits and use that feedback to guide how and where funding is invested.”
Residents who are unable to attend any of the four public meetings are encouraged to attend a public meeting of the Fayetteville Redevelopment Commission, scheduled for April 1 at 2 p.m., at 225 Ray Ave, Suite 122, or may submit their comments to ECD’s email EconCommDev@FayettevilleNC.gov.
