Human Relations to host Civil Rights & Fair Housing Summit

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. - The Fayetteville-Cumberland Human Relations Department is hosting the Civil Rights & Fair Housing Summit on Friday, April 17 at the Tony Rand Center at Fayetteville Technical Community College, 2220 Hull Rd, Fayetteville, N.C. This event is essential for housing providers, industry professionals and members of the Human Relations Commissions across North Carolina. 

Attendees will gain insights into contemporary fair housing trends, social justice, disparate impact litigation and accessible design from experts in their respective fields. 

“We are excited to host this summit,” said Human Relations Director Yamile Nazar. “This is a great opportunity for professionals from across our state to come together for meaningful conversation on civil rights and fair housing information”. 

Key speakers from Legal Aid of North Carolina, the Office of the State Marshall, RightHear and other key organizations will present informative presentations on compliance and the historical context of fair housing. 

The registration fee is $75, which includes breakfast and lunch.  

Registration will close on Friday, March 27, and tickets will not be available for purchase at the door.
