Homelessness

The Economic & Community Development department assists in and promotes the development of housing opportunities for our residents and families that are experiencing homelessness or are at-risk of becoming homeless. Everyone deserves a safe and affordable dwelling; therefore, we continue to work towards the prevention of unfair housing practices that may contribute to homelessness.

The City of Fayetteville is actively creating new partnerships to help combat homelessness within the city limits. Resources can be found at the Fayetteville Cares Day Resource Center or through the Fayetteville Cumberland County Continuum of Care and Coordinated Entry.

Day Resource Center

The City is proud to announce Manna Church as the new operator of the Day Resource Center. Coordinated Entry

How does Coordinated Entry work and how do I enter the system for services?

Coordinated Entry is a housing referral service utilizing partner agencies of the Cumberland County Continuum of Care.

Coordinated Entry seeks to reduce instances of misdirection by providing access to multiple agencies through one phone number, and can be reached by dialing 910-483-6869.

Most partner agencies are staffed during standard business hours. The system does not provide emergency response, but is used to prioritize limited resources to the most vulnerable residents.
