Victim Advocate
The victim advocate assists members of the Fayetteville community as they cope with the effects of crime and proceed through the criminal justice system. All services are free.
Services include:
- Emotional support & crisis intervention
- Information on victims' rights
- Investigative support
- Medical accompaniment
- Referrals to community resources
- Safety planning
- Domestic Violence Protective Order (DVPO) information & assistance
- Assistance with victim's compensation
- Information on the criminal justice system
- Court accompaniment
Domestic Violence Electronic Filing
You can file a civil domestic violence protective order lawsuit (50-B) and process your emergency request without going to the courthouse. Offsite locations are available at:
- SafeLink Office located at 117 Dick Street (Room 340) located in Fayetteville
- Phoenix Center located at 519 Ramsey Street in Fayetteville
- Fayetteville Police Department Cross Creek Substation located at 6147 Raeford Road in Fayetteville
- Hope Mills Police Department located at 55788 Rockfish Road in Hope Mills
- Army Community Services located at 2843 Normandy Drive (third floor) on Fort Bragg.
Advocates are available to assist Monday-Friday. Arrive by 12:30 p.m. (or SafeLink Office until 3:00 pm) to be processed on the same day. You will still have to appear in court on your assigned court date. Legal aid is available to assist you in court.
