Homicide Investigation
(Fayetteville, NC) – Detectives with the Fayetteville Police Department’s Homicide Unit are investigating a stabbing which occurred along the 1900 block of Daphne Circle on Tuesday, February 10, 2026 at 7:09 pm, which resulted in the death of one person.
Officers responded to the scene reference a reported stabbing. Upon arrival, officers located an adult suffering from stab wounds. The victim was pronounced deceased on scene.
The identity of the decedent is currently being withheld pending next of kin notifications.
A suspect was located on scene and was subsequently detained by responding officers. The investigative process is ongoing and this remains an active investigation. There is no threat to the public.
