Homicide Investigation

(Fayetteville, NC) – Detectives with the Fayetteville Police Department’s Homicide Unit are investigating a shooting that occurred along the 3700 block of Bragg Blvd. One individual has been taken into custody on scene.

On November 26, 2025, at approximately 6:10 p.m. officers with the Fayetteville Police Department responded to the 3700 block of Bragg Blvd for reports of a shooting. Upon arriving on scene, officers located a male suffering from a gunshot wound. Emergency Medical Service Personnel transported the victim to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center for treatment where he succumbed to his injury. The identity of the victim is being withheld until his next of kin is notified.

The shooter was taken into custody on scene.

The preliminary investigation revealed the victim and suspect who were known to one another were involved in an altercation when a shooting occurred that resulted in the victim’s death.

This is an isolated incident. There is no danger to the public.

This is an active investigation. Additional information will be released as it is available.
