Homicide Investigation Arrest

 

 (Fayetteville, NC)- On February 21, 2025, at approximately 2:40 a.m., officers with the Fayetteville Police Department responded to a homicide investigation in the area of Bragg Boulevard and Winston Avenue.

The decedent was identified as Mark Anthony Singletary (Black male, 35 years old) of Fayetteville, NC.

On September 16, 2025 US Marshals arrested Christopher Quinton Cowans BM, 35 years of age in New York on outstanding warrants from the Fayetteville Police Department’s Homicide Unit. Cowans was transported back to Fayetteville, NC on September 30, 2025 and charged with First Degree Murder. He is currently being held in the Cumberland County Detention Center on no bond.

Homicide Investigation

(Fayetteville, NC)- On February 21, 2025, at approximately 2:40 a.m., officers with the Fayetteville Police Department responded to a homicide investigation in the area of Bragg Boulevard and Winston Avenue.

 

Upon arrival, officers located a victim who was pronounced deceased at the scene.

 

The identity of the victim is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.

Detectives with the Fayetteville Police Department’s Homicide Unit are actively investigating this homicide, and additional information will be released as it becomes available.
