Multi-Agency Federal Arrest & Narcotics Seizure

(Fayetteville, NC)- On October 31, 2025, the United States Marshals Service and the Army Criminal Investigation Division (CID) worked collaboratively with the Fayetteville Police Department’s Gang Unit and Narcotics Unit on a federal arrest.

On October 31, 2025, the multi-agency collaboration led to the arrest of Jeffrey Nadir Shields (Black male, 46 years of age) of Fayetteville, N.C. and a subsequent execution of a search warrant along the 800 block of Ridge Rd. A federal arrest warrant was issued for Shields after he was federally indicted for Manslaughter.

The search warrant resulted in the seizure of 339.7 grams of suspected methamphetamine and 5.3 grams of suspected cocaine. Shields was charged with the additional offenses of Trafficking in Methamphetamine by Possession, Trafficking in Methamphetamine by Manufacture, Possession with Intent to Manufacture, Sell, and Deliver Cocaine, and Maintaining a Dwelling for the Purpose of Keeping and Selling a Controlled Substance.

Jeffrey Shields is currently being held at the Cumberland County Detention Center under a $200,000.00 secured bond and also under a temporary federal order of detention.

This collaboration highlights the continued efforts to hold habitual offenders accountable by leveraging the resources of federal, state, and local agencies through strategic partnerships. Shields has previous convictions of Habitual Felon, more than 10 felony drug convictions to include Trafficking Schedule II, Common Law Robbery, Possession of Stolen Goods, and Possession of Firearm by Felon.

This is an active investigation. Additional information will be released as it becomes available.
