Arrest Made in Homicide Investigation

 

(Fayetteville, NC) – Detectives with the Fayetteville Police Department’s Homicide Unit, with assistance from the department’s Violent Criminal Apprehension team (VCAT), have made an arrest in the homicide of Mark Singletary, who was shot and killed on Friday, February 21, 2025 along Bragg Blvd near the intersection of Winston Avenue.

 

 

Detectives have charged and arrested Alan Wilson (Black Male, 45 years of age), of Raeford, North Carolina. Wilson has been charged with 1st Degree Murder and is being held at the Cumberland County Detention Center with no bond.

 

This remains an active investigation.

Homicide Investigation

 

(Fayetteville, NC)- On February 21, 2025, at approximately 2:40 a.m., officers with the Fayetteville Police Department responded to a homicide investigation in the area of Bragg Boulevard and Winston Avenue.

 

The decedent has been identified as Mark Anthony Singletary (Black male, 35 years old) of Fayetteville, NC. His next of kin has been notified.

 

The investigation is ongoing. Detective E. Alrafai at 910-723-0327 remains the point of contact. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact Detective E. Alrafai or Crimestoppers.

(Fayetteville, NC)- On February 21, 2025, at approximately 2:40 a.m., officers with the Fayetteville Police Department responded to a homicide investigation in the area of Bragg Boulevard and Winston Avenue.

 

Upon arrival, officers located a victim who was pronounced deceased at the scene.

 

The identity of the victim is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
