Detectives Seek Public’s Help in Locating Wanted Suspect

Alexander Sandoval (28)
Hispanic Male, 5’10, 210 lbs.
(Fayetteville, NC) – Detectives with the Fayetteville Police Department's Violent Criminal Apprehension Team (VCAT) are requesting the public's assistance locating Alexander Sandoval (Hispanic male, 28 years of age), who is wanted for a shooting that occurred in the parking lot of Cheddar’s Restaurant, located at 225 N. McPherson Church Road, on October 24, 2024.
Sandoval has outstanding warrants charging him with:
- Assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill, inflicting serious injury
- Felony fleeing to elude law enforcement
- Felony larceny
- Failure to appear on a previous charge of assault with a deadly weapon on a government official (order for arrest)
Sandoval and the victim were known to each other prior to the shooting, and the investigation has determined this was not a random act of violence. The victim sustained non-life-threatening injuries as a result of the shooting.
