Detectives Seek Assistance Identifying Suspect and Vehicle in Pedestrian Fatality

 

(Fayetteville, NC) – On April 12 at approximately 8:34 p.m., officers with the Fayetteville Police Department Traffic Unit responded to a pedestrian-involved hit-and-run near N. Reilly Road and Telfair Drive.

 

The victim was transported to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center, where they later succumbed to their injuries. Their identity is being withheld pending next-of-kin notification.

The suspect vehicle fled the scene heading south on N. Reilly Road and has not been identified.

 

Detectives are asking for the public’s help. If you were in the area of N. Reilly Road between 8 p.m. and 9 p.m. on Saturday and saw a vehicle with front passenger-side damage, possibly with a broken or non-functioning headlight, please contact Police Specialist Biggerstaff at 910-751-1382. Traffic Fatality – Pedestrian Struck

           

(Fayetteville, NC) – On April 12, at approximately 8:34 p.m. officers with the Fayetteville Police Department Traffic Unit responded to the area of N. Reilly Road at Telfair Drive in reference to a pedestrian struck.

 

The victim was transported to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center where they later succumbed to their injuries.

 

Their identity is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.

 

The suspected vehicle fled the scene headed South on N. Reilly Road and cannot be identified at this time.

 

This is an active investigation.
