Suspect Arrested for Statutory Sex Crimes and Narcotic Violations
(Fayetteville, NC) – On October 9, 2025, Detectives with the Fayetteville Police Department’s Special Victim’s Unit apprehended a suspect on felony charges related to Statutory Sex Offenses and Narcotic Violations.
On October 9, 2025, Jonas Lee Everhart (Black male, 47 years of age) of Fayetteville, NC was apprehended in relation to charges of Statutory Rape and Statutory Sex Offense involving a 15-year-old juvenile victim.
At the time of Everhart’s arrest, he was found to be in possession of multiple narcotics. A search warrant was conducted on Everhart’s motel room which yielded further evidence of narcotic violations.
Jonas Everhart was also charged with Trafficking in Opium (6 counts), Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Manufacture, Sell, or Deliver Schedule VI, Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Manufacture, Sell, or Deliver Cocaine, Possession with Intent to Sell and Deliver Marijuana and Felony Maintaining a Dwelling.
Jonas Everhart is currently being held at the Cumberland County Detention Center under a $750,000 secured bond.
