All suspects, and persons charged with a crime, are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Persons of interest are believed to have information relating to a case, and have not been charged unless stated otherwise.

 

Traffic Fatality           

(Fayetteville, NC) – On Monday, February 23, 2026, at approximately 10:44 p.m., officers with the Fayetteville Police Department responded to a report of a motor vehicle crash on the All American Freeway, between Cliffdale Road and Morganton Road, towards Fort Bragg.

Upon arrival, responding personnel located two vehicles with extensive front end damage. One individual was pronounced deceased at the scene. The identity of the deceased is currently being withheld pending the notification of the next of kin.

The specific circumstances and preliminary causes surrounding the crash remain under active investigation by the Fayetteville Police Department’s Traffic Unit.

The All American Freeway towards Fort Bragg, between Cliffdale Road and Morganton Road, is currently closed to traffic and is expected to be closed until Tuesday, February 24, 2026 at 3:00 am.
