All suspects, and persons charged with a crime, are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Persons of interest are believed to have information relating to a case, and have not been charged unless stated otherwise.

 

Traffic Fatality

(Fayetteville, NC) – Detectives with the Fayetteville Police Department’s Traffic Unit have identified those involved in the vehicle crash that occurred along the All American Freeway on Monday, February 23, 2026, which resulted in a fatality.

The preliminary investigation revealed a 2017 Mercedes-Benz C300 was traveling in the wrong direction on the All American Freeway. The Mercedes-Benz was being driven with the headlamps off, but occasionally turned on, while traveling on the roadway. The Mercedes-Benz struck a 2020 Volvo XC90 traveling north head on.

The driver of the Mercedes-Benz, Joelle Danielle Sage Outlaw (black female, 32 years of age), of Hope Mills, NC, was transported to Cape Fear Valley Hospital in serious condition. Outlaw remains hospitalized.

The passenger in the Mercedes-Benz, Nealon Alan McNair (black male, 31 years of age), of Fayetteville, NC, was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The driver of the Volvo, Alexis Symone Bruner (black female, 29 years of age), of Hope Mills, NC, was transported to Cape Fear Valley Hospital in serious condition.

The passenger in the Volvo, Adaysia Promise Troy (black female, 24 years of age), of Fayetteville, NC, was transported to Cape Fear Valley Hospital in serious condition.

Criminal charges are pending Outlaw’s medical release and clearance.

Traffic Fatality        

(Fayetteville, NC) – On Monday, February 23, 2026, at approximately 10:44 p.m., officers with the Fayetteville Police Department responded to a report of a motor vehicle crash on the All American Freeway, between Cliffdale Road and Morganton Road, towards Fort Bragg.

Upon arrival, responding personnel located two vehicles with extensive front end damage. One individual was pronounced deceased at the scene. The identity of the deceased is currently being withheld pending the notification of the next of kin.

The specific circumstances and preliminary causes surrounding the crash remain under active investigation by the Fayetteville Police Department’s Traffic Unit.

The All American Freeway towards Fort Bragg, between Cliffdale Road and Morganton Road, is currently closed to traffic and is expected to be closed until Tuesday, February 24, 2026 at 3:00 am.
