Update to Death Investigation

(Fayetteville, NC) – On December 15, 2025, at approximately 8:20 a.m., officers with the Fayetteville Police Department responded to the 3900 block of Bragg Blvd for a report of a suspicious death.

The decedent has been identified as Toni Jackson Troxell (White female, 52 years of age) of Fayetteville, N.C. Her next of kin has been notified.

The Fayetteville Police Department’s Homicide Unit is working closely with the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Raleigh, who will determine the cause of her death.

This is an active investigation. Additional information will be released as it becomes available.

Death Investigation

(Fayetteville, NC) – On December 15, 2025, at approximately 8:20 a.m., officers with the Fayetteville Police Department responded to the 3900 block of Bragg Blvd for a report of a suspicious death.

When officers and Emergency Medical Personnel arrived on scene, they located a deceased white female that appears to be living in the wood line behind this location. The decedent’s identity is being withheld until the next-of-kin is identified and notified.

The circumstances surrounding the individual’s death is actively under investigation by members of the Fayetteville Police Departments Homicide Unit. Additional information will be released as it becomes available.
