Update to Homicide Investigation-  Suspect Arrested

(Fayetteville, NC) – Detectives with the Fayetteville Police Department’s Homicide Unit have identified and arrested the individual responsible for the fatal shooting of Harryson Anderson that occurred on March 15, 2026, at a house party along the 1500 block of Graystone Drive.

On March 18, 2026, following an outpouring of information from the community, Detectives with the Fayetteville Police Department’s Homicide Unit identified Justice Miller (White male, 17 years of age) of Fayetteville, North Carolina, as the individual responsible for the fatal shooting of Harryson Anderson.

Justice Miller has been arrested and charged with First-Degree Murder. Miller was taken into custody without incident and is currently being held at the Cumberland County Detention Center under no bond.

Because Miller is a juvenile, no suspect photo is available. There is no additional information to provide.

The Fayetteville Police Department extends its sincere gratitude to the community for its cooperation and assistance in this investigation. The information provided played a critical role in quickly identifying and apprehending the suspect. Your continued support helps keep our community safe.

 

Homicide Detectives Seek Public’s Assistance

(Fayetteville, NC) – Detectives with the Fayetteville Police Department’s Homicide Unit are seeking the public's assistance in the early morning shooting death of Harryson Anderson that occurred on March 15, 2026, at a house party along the 1500 block of Graystone Drive.

Detectives are asking anyone who attended the party, recognizes the victim in the photograph, and has any information to please contact Detective C. Cross at (472) 210-2381.

Update to Homicide Investigation

(Fayetteville, NC) – Detectives with the Fayetteville Police Department’s Homicide Unit have identified the victim involved in the shooting that occurred on March 15, 2026, on Graystone Road.

The victim has been identified as Harryson Anderson (Black male, 18 years of age) of Spring Lake, NC. His family has been notified.

Members of the Homicide Unit are requesting that anyone who attended the party and has any information or video recordings of the incident to please contact Detective C. Cross at (472) 210-2381.

Homicide Investigation

 

(Fayetteville, NC) – On March 15, 2026, at approximately 1:27 a.m., officers with the Fayetteville Police Department responded to reports of a shooting along the 1500 block of Graystone Road, where a victim later succumbed to their injuries.

Officers and Emergency Medical Service personnel arrived at the residence and located one individual suffering from gunshot wounds. Emergency Medical Service personnel transported the victim to a local hospital for treatment of their injuries.

The Fayetteville Police Department's Aggravated Assault Unit responded and assumed the investigation.

The preliminary investigation revealed that a house party was held at a residence along the 1500 block of Graystone Road. An Altercation ensued, shots were fired, and one individual was wounded.

At approximately 4:05 a.m., the victim succumbed to their injuries, and the Fayetteville Police Department was notified. The identity of the victim is currently being withheld pending identity confirmation and next of kin notification.

The Fayetteville Police Department's Homicide Unit has assumed the investigation.

This is an isolated and active investigation. Additional information will be released as it becomes available.
