Update to Traffic Fatality
(Fayetteville, NC) – On November 20, 2025, at approximately 1:42pm, officers with the Fayetteville Police Department responded to a two-vehicle crash on Bragg Blvd at the 295 off ramp.
Detectives with the Fayetteville Police Department’s Traffic Unit assumed the investigation.
The preliminary investigation revealed a white 2025 Chevrolet Silverado operated by Wilton Allen Nickerson (White male, 58 years of age) of Stedman, N.C. was traveling south on Bragg Blvd. Nickerson was transported to Cape Fear Valley for medical treatment.
A Grey 2007 Mercury Grand Marquis operated by Chong Hwa Otis (Asian female, 69 years of age) of Fayetteville, N.C. was traveling north on 295 and took the exit ramp onto Bragg Blvd. Otis was pronounced deceased at the scene. Her next of kin has been notified.
The Fayetteville Police Department's Traffic Unit continues to actively investigate the crash as well as the events leading to the crash.

(Fayetteville, NC) – All lanes of travel on Bragg Blvd at Santa Fe Drive and Shaw Road towards the 295 on ramp are now open.
This is an active investigation. Additional information will be released as it becomes available.

(Fayetteville, NC) – All lanes of travel on Bragg Blvd at Santa Fe Drive and Shaw Road towards the 295 on ramp are closed due to officers with the Fayetteville Police Department’s Traffic Unit actively investigating a traffic fatality.
Motorists avoid the area and utilize an alternate route. Additional information will be release as it becomes available.
