Arts Council of Fayetteville/Cumberland County launches “For the Arts”

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. – The Arts Council of Fayetteville/Cumberland County is bringing the local arts and culture scene to a new audience with the launch of “For the Arts,” a new podcast show available on the City of Fayetteville’s Radio Fayetteville podcast channel.

The show will highlight the latest Arts Council news, upcoming events, grant opportunities and broader conversations surrounding the region’s vibrant arts and culture scene.

The Arts Council is also officially the new home of Radio Fayetteville. Through this partnership with the City, the Arts Center, located at 301 Hay Street, now features dedicated studio space for recording the City’s growing lineup of podcasts.

“Bringing Radio Fayetteville and this new podcast studio into the Arts Center is a huge win for downtown and our entire community,” expresses Miles McKeller-Smith, Director of Public Relations at the Arts Council. “Beyond giving the City a dedicated home for vital updates on shows like The Fayetteville 411, launching For the Arts allows us to spotlight the incredible artists and creative energy that make Fayetteville thrive.”

For the Arts joins the City’s Fayetteville 411, Fayetteville Fire Podcast, the FayPD Beat and Mic’d Up, hosted by the Fayetteville-Cumberland Youth Council, on the Radio Fayetteville podcast channel.

“We are very excited to partner with the Arts Council in bringing new content to the Radio Fayetteville channel and having a dedicated space for producing content,” says Sherri Kropp, Communications Manager with the City. Our channel offers listeners a variety of local content while helping the City broaden its reach, increase engagement and connect residents with information and stories that matter to them.”

For the Arts, along with all of Radio Fayetteville’s podcasts, can be streamed on listeners’ preferred streaming service.
