OCS to host summer kickoff event safe space activations
FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. - Residents are invited to The Office of Community Safety’s Summer Kickoff event on Friday, April 17, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Massey Hill Recreation Center, 1612 Camden Road. This event marks the start of a summer of community-led Safe Space Activations taking place across Fayetteville neighborhoods.
Resource tables will bring together community partners offering information and support to strengthen neighborhood well-being. Residents will have the opportunity to connect with local organizations, access resources and engage in meaningful conversations focused on building stronger communities.
This event will also feature activities, music and food.
“Safe Space Activations are led by the community, and this kickoff is just the beginning,” said the Office of Community Safety Director John Jones. “All summer long, our community partners will be activating spaces across Fayetteville to support young people and families where they live.”
Safe Space Activations are community-led efforts that create safe, active spaces across neighborhoods while connecting residents to resources and supporting violence reduction.
