City celebrates America’s 250th with Concert and Firework Show

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. - The City of Fayetteville, Fayetteville Symphony Orchestra and Fayetteville PWC invite residents and visitors to a free Independence Concert and Fireworks Show on Saturday, July 4, at Festival Park in Downtown Fayetteville. The concert will begin at 7:30 p.m., and gates to the park open at 6 p.m. The evening will conclude with a fireworks show.
The concert will feature performances by the Fayetteville Symphony Orchestra, Fayetteville Symphonic Band and members of the 82nd Airborne Division Band, all under the direction of Dr. Daniel McCloud.
The fireworks show is expected to begin between 8:45 and 9:15 p.m.
Only service animals are permitted. A clear bag policy will also be in place at Festival Park. All bags entering Festival Park events must be clear and meet posted size requirements. Chairs in bags will be searched, and chairs must be removed from their bags for inspection. Attendees with bags that do not meet policy requirements will be turned away at the entrance.

Skateboards, bicycles, personal tents or canopies and coolers are prohibited.
Motorists should be aware that Ray Avenue will be closed from Maiden Lane to Rowan Street during the event.
Downtown parking in City lots and parking garages will be available at the special event rate of $5. On-street parking is also available throughout the downtown area and is free on weekends and after 5 p.m. on weekdays.
