FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. – Community members are invited to join City officials for a ribbon cutting ceremony on Friday, Aug. 21, at 10 a.m. to celebrate the new splash pad at North Street Park, 201 Brinkley Street.

Families are encouraged to come dressed and ready to enjoy the splash pad following the ceremony.

When it opens, there will be 15 public splash pads throughout Fayetteville and Cumberland County. Splash pads are free to access. Fayetteville-Cumberland Parks and Recreation splash pad locations, hours of operation and contact information are posted online.

North Street Park has also received several additional improvements, including:

  • Parking lot improvements
  • Installation of additional security fencing
  • Replacement of the outfield fencing and fence cap
  • Landscaping and site amenity improvements

Investing in parks helps meet residents’ needs today while creating opportunities for future generations. These shared spaces foster a sense of belonging and help make the City a more desirable place to live, work and play.
