FCHR scholarship applications available to local high school students

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — The Fayetteville-Cumberland Human Relations (FCHR) Commission is accepting scholarship applications from Cumberland County high school seniors through March 27.
High school, private school, and home school graduating seniors seeking financial assistance towards attending a two or four-year college or university are encouraged to apply.
The scholarship award is $1,000, and eligibility will be determined based on the following criteria:
- Student has resided in Cumberland County at least one year immediately prior to applying for this scholarship.
- Student will be a senior in a high school located in Cumberland County.
- Student has maintained an average of 2.50 GPA (unweighted) or better.
- Student has been admitted as a full-time student to an accredited course of study to a two or four-year college or university.
Interested high school seniors can visit FayettevilleNC.gov/HumanRelations to download the application online or visit the department to pick up an application.
Completed scholarship packets can be submitted by mail or dropped off in person at the Fayetteville-Cumberland Human Relations Department, located at Festival Park Plaza, 225 Ray Ave., Suite 100. Mailed applications must be postmarked by March 27.
