FAYETTEVILLE N.C. — Fayetteville residents are invited to the Fayetteville Police Department’s annual shred event on Saturday, Oct. 25 from 9 a.m. - 12 p.m. at Cliffdale Plaza, 6900 Cliffdale Road.
The shred event provides residents an opportunity to safely and securely dispose of documents like bank and credit card statements, tax returns and other papers with sensitive data or personal information, such as account or Social Security information.
“Protecting your identity is one of the easiest ways to prevent crime,” Crime Prevention Specialist Marina Sullivan stated. “Our shred event helps residents safely dispose of sensitive documents and stay one step ahead of fraud. During Crime Prevention Month, we’re reminding everyone that safety starts with awareness and sometimes it’s as easy as shredding old papers.”
This event is free and open to residents to shred personal documents only.
