Fayetteville-Cumberland Youth Council hosts State Conference

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. - Last weekend, Fayetteville-Cumberland Youth Council proudly hosted the 2025 State Youth Council Mini Grant Conference at the Way 2 Real Community Center, located at 2400 Murchison Road. The youth council groups met on Nov. 14–16.
This annual statewide conference brings together youth councils from across North Carolina to debate, award and celebrate innovative youth-led projects designed to make a difference in their communities. With an annual appropriation from the NC General Assembly, grants averaging from $100 to $500 are provided for a wide range of youth-directed projects.
“It was exciting to welcome youth councils from across North Carolina to Fayetteville,” Fayetteville’s Junior Mayor and FCYC’s Chair Rylen Mack stated. “This conference showed how powerful our ideas can be when young people come together to create solutions.”

- Hickory Youth Council
- High Point Youth Council
- Mooresville Youth Council
- Raleigh Youth Council
- Rocky Mount Area Youth Council
- Wilson Youth Council
- Winston-Salem Youth Council
FCYC is a leadership organization that empowers high school students to engage in civic involvement, community service and youth advocacy. FCYC serves as a bridge between local government and the youth population, helping students gain real-world leadership experience while making a lasting impact on their community.
