FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. - The City of Fayetteville’s Fleet Division has been recognized as one of the top 100 Public Fleets in the Americas.
The City’s Fleet team is responsible for maintaining and repairing approximately 1,500 assets. These assets include City vehicles, heavy machinery and equipment used by City departments such as Parks and Recreation and Solid Waste. The Fleet team consists of 29 staff members ranging from shop administration to high level and ASE Certified Technicians, all of whom play a vital role in ensuring the City and its departments can operate and maintain high level service for the Fayetteville residents.
“It’s truly an honor to see our Fleet team recognized among the Top 100 Public Fleet teams,” said Chief Financial Officer Tiffany Murray. “Their dedication and hard work play a critical role in keeping the City operating efficiently and ensuring we continue delivering essential services to our residents every day.”
Established in 2023, the City’s Fleet Management Division has quickly become a high-performing operation, delivering reliable service, strong fiscal management and efficiency in a high-demand municipal environment. The division’s data-driven approach and strong workforce culture continue to drive results that exceed industry standards.
The National Association of Fleet Administrators (NAFA) announced its 100 Best Fleets in the Americas during its annual Institute & Expo in April. The organization recognizes top-performing public fleet operations across North, Central and South America.
Only 4 Fleets in North Carolina were awarded: City of Fayetteville, City of Durham, Public Works Commission of Fayetteville and Wake County Fleet Operations.
