Please Note:

  • Physical Activity Readiness Questionnaire (PARQ forms) must be filled out prior to use of the equipment and renewed on an annual basis.
  • Please bring your own towel to use while working out.
  • Please wipe down equipment after use.

Center Programs

Bell of Hearts - Heart Walk & Talk

Group meets on the track at the Tokay Athletic Park (beside the Tokay Senior Fitness Center).  Walk as much or as little as you like and get important information on how to improve your heart health.

Better Health Diabetes Clinic

Looking to get better control of your diabetes? Let a registered nurse help you! Blood sugar, blood pressure, and healthy weight checks performed for free. Walk-ins welcome.

Cardio Drumming

The rhythm will definitely get you with this one - come out to try this awesome new cardio workout guaranteed to get your get your heart pounding to the beat! Class does not meet the first Monday of each month.

Chair Aerobics, Line Dance, and Stretch Class

Tuesday sessions of this ever-popular class include 30 minutes of line dance and 30 minutes of chair aerobics. Thursdays include 30 minutes of a full-body stretch and 30 minutes of chair aerobics. The line dance group, also known as the "Tokay Rockers" performs at community events and in the Senior Games!

Musical Chairs BinGO

Bingo with a twist! Start out with one card, end with another - when the music stops, so do you. Just like in traditional bingo, winner gets a prize!

Open Pickleball Practice

Great for practicing your skills, Tokay now has an indoor pickleball court that is 80% scale size. Paddles and balls are available for you to use or you can bring your own!

Senior Chair Fitness

Strengthen and tone your body with this dynamic chair workout!  Class does not meet the first Monday of each month.

Silver BAND-its (starts Sept. 2026)

Looking to strengthen and tone your muscles?  Look no further, this class is for you! Using exercise bands you will go through a full body workout focused on stronger, leaner muscles.  Suitable for all ability levels.

Stretch & Flex

Great for flexibility and mobility, this class will help you loosen up tight muscles and build up core strength.

Tai Chi Practice

If you don't use it, you lose it! This time is set aside for anyone that has previously attended a Tai Chi training to get in some practice and work on their skill and technique. This is a student led practice session for individuals who have completed the part one or two training - there is no instructor to teach a "class".

Zumba

Special Events

Bingocize

Bingocize is an evidence-based, 10-week health promotion program that combines the classic game of bingo with gentle physical exercises and nutrition education to help seniors maintain mobility, prevent falls, and stay socially engaged. Pre-registration is required. Co-sponsored by the Mid-Carolina Area Agency on Aging.

Heart Walk & Talk

Meet up on the track at the Tokay Athletic Complex to get in a few laps and learn how to improve your cardiovascular health.

Fit & Food

Learn helpful tips for a more focused nutritional mind and cleaner, healthier eating and get in a quick, fun workout! Class includes instruction on how to prepare healthy foods, samples of what is being prepared, and course material for you to bring home with you. Pre-registration is required by the Friday prior to class.

Pickleball Workshops

It's all the rage - Pickleball is a fast-growing paddle sport combining elements of tennis, badminton, and table tennis. Come learn everything that you need to know to get started with the game!

Tokay Thriller!

Something evil’s lurking in the park….It’s Tokay THRILLER! Back by popular demand, come out and learn the steps to this iconic dance. Costumes optional but highly encouraged. It’s sure to be a hooooowling good time!

Toys for Tots Dropoff Location

For the third year, Tokay Senior Fitness Center will be an official drop off location for Marine Toys for Tots. Last year we filled two whole boxes with toys to be distributed to our neighbors in need. Let’s make it 3 this year! Help make this a special Christmas for a child in need by bringing in a new, unwrapped toy and placing it in the donation box during the month of November. Donations will be picked up at the beginning of December to be readied to distribute to children in Cumberland and Robeson County.

Tokay Holiday Celebration

Join the Rockers and your friends from Tokay for this celebration of the holiday season. Lunch will be catered (full menu will be posted at the center). Bring a dessert to share with the group. Tickets will go on sale Nov. 2.
