911 Consolidation Taskforce advances plans for Interlocal Agreement

Representatives from the Fayetteville City Council and Cumberland County Board of Commissioners convened today for a 911 Consolidation Taskforce to discuss the interlocal agreement (ILA) that would establish a new joint public safety answering point (PSAP) and a Joint Oversight Agency.

Fayetteville Regional Airport to host TSA precheck® enrollment event

Fayetteville Regional Airport (FAY) will be hosting a TSA PreCheck® enrollment event in collaboration with IDEMIA, an authorized TSA PreCheck enrollment provider since 2013. Travelers will be able to enroll or renew their membership at FAY, 400 Airport Road, in the Boeing Conference Room, located on the first level of the airport, from 9 a.m.-12 p.m. and 1 p.m.-5 p.m. from Aug. 25 through Aug. 28.

City expands utility assistance to help more homeowners

The City of Fayetteville has updated its Utility Connection Assistance Program – Water & Sewer (UCAP-WS) to make financial assistance available to more homeowners and encourage eligible residents to apply.
