Neighborhood Sign Program

Neighborhoods are at the heart of a strong community. The City of Fayetteville’s Neighborhood Sign Program helps residents strengthen neighborhood identity, enhance community appearance, and foster a sense of pride by providing neighborhood entrance signs and landscaping improvements in established neighborhoods throughout the city.

Funded through the City’s General Fund, the program supports neighborhood beautification efforts by installing new entrance signage and associated landscaping at approved locations. These improvements help create welcoming gateways, improve neighborhood visibility, and contribute to the overall character and appearance of Fayetteville’s residential communities.

Neighborhood watches, homeowner associations, and other recognized neighborhood or community groups may apply for assistance through the Neighborhood Sign Program.

To be eligible:

The neighborhood must be located within the Fayetteville city limits.
The applicant must represent an organized neighborhood watch, community group, or neighborhood organization.
The group must have more than one active member.
The group must agree to maintain the sign and landscaping after installation.

Neighborhood signs must be installed at a primary entrance or main thoroughfare serving the neighborhood. To ensure equitable distribution of funding, each neighborhood is eligible to receive one (1) sign per year, regardless of the number of neighborhood entrances.

Sign design, placement, and installation are subject to City review and approval.
