Homicide Investigation Update

(Fayetteville, NC) –  On March 10, 2025, at approximately 8:03 AM, officers with the Fayetteville Police Department responded to a reported shooting in the 1300 Block of Sapona Road.

The victim has been identified as Darden Rhodes (White male 51 years old) of Missouri.

His next of kin has been notified.

Homicide Investigation

(Fayetteville, NC) –  On March 10, 2025, at approximately 8:03 AM, officers with the Fayetteville Police Department responded to a reported shooting in the 1300 Block of Sapona Road.

Upon arrival, officers located an adult male with gunshot wounds. The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The identity of the victim is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.

Detectives with the Fayetteville Police Department’s Homicide Unit are actively investigating this homicide, and additional information will be released as it becomes available.
