FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. - The city of Fayetteville’s Engineering Department is excited to announce its participation in Engineers Week, Feb. 16 – 22. Engineers Week is a time to recognize and celebrate the important work that engineers do in our community.

"Engineers are instrumental in making Fayetteville a better place to live and work, and we're proud of the work they do,” said Deputy Public Services Director Byron Reeves. "Engineers Week is a great opportunity to celebrate their hard work and connect with the people who are helping to shape the future of our city."

The city has used Engineers Week as a chance to connect with engineers within the city and in the community. These events have included professional development workshops, and casual social gatherings, allowing engineers from different areas to work together and build new partnerships.

This year, city engineers met with students from the Engineering Academy at Westover High School to inspire students to pursue their dreams by giving them a firsthand look at the engineering field. Through engaging and creative activities, they gained insight into the skills and dedication required to become an engineer.

Fayetteville’s participation in Engineers Week shows the city’s commitment to supporting the engineering community and inspiring the next generation of engineers.
