FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. - The City of Fayetteville's Stormwater Division invites realtors and residents to attend Stormwater 101: Buying, Selling, Living, a free educational class designed to help community members better understand Fayetteville's stormwater system and the important role it plays in protecting local waterways.
The class will be held on Wednesday, July 15, from 3 to 4 p.m. at City Hall in the Lafayette Room.
Attendees will learn how stormwater moves through the City, why stormwater management is essential to protecting water quality and how simple everyday actions can help reduce pollution and keep Fayetteville's streams and rivers healthy.
“Whether you're purchasing a home, preparing to sell one or simply interested in learning more about stormwater, this class is a great opportunity to better understand how Fayetteville's stormwater system works and why it matters,” said Kayla Mills, Stormwater Public Information Specialist. “Participants will leave with practical knowledge they can use to help protect our local waterways and preserve water quality for future generations.”
The event is free and open to the public.
Stormwater 101 is one of several educational opportunities the City offers to help residents better understand how Fayetteville's stormwater system works and why it matters.
Additional classes and community outreach events are offered throughout the year, giving residents more opportunities to learn how they can help protect local waterways and improve water quality across Fayetteville.
