Community input needed on Downtown Study at Sept. 29 public meeting

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. – The City of Fayetteville invites residents, business and property owners, developers and anyone who spends time downtown to a public meeting on Sept. 29. Participants can share what they value about downtown, the challenges they experience and what they would like to see in the future. 

The meeting will be held from 9 to 11 a.m. at Volta Space, 116 Person Street, Fayetteville, N.C.  

The meeting is part of the City’s Downtown Study, which will examine business and development opportunities, how City processes affect projects and how downtown services support the people who live, work, visit and invest there.  

Community input will help shape a Downtown Development Plan with practical steps to support local businesses, encourage investment and make downtown a place more people want to spend time. 

This study is being led by the City’s Economic and Community Development Department and supported by the City’s Development Services Department.
