FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. - The City of Fayetteville is evaluating possible impacts a federal funding pause may have on the City of Fayetteville government.
On Monday, January 27, 2025, the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) issued a memo to all federal agencies requiring a temporary pause in all activity and a mandatory review of all federal financial assistance. U.S. District JudgeLoren AliKhanordered a delay in the OMB order during a hearing in Washington Tuesday afternoon.This delay to the pause will expire on Feb. 3 at 5 p.m.
Following these recent events, City Management requested staff evaluate what the impacts would be of a potential pause in federal funding, specifically related to resident services and programs.
The City of Fayetteville will provide any updates as they become available.
